Course Details

  • Qualification: Remedial Massage Therapist

 

Delivery and Assessment:

The Diploma of Remedial Massage qualification includes both in-class & self-passed delivery. Assessment for this qualification includes assignments, examinations, individual activities (written and verbal) and structured activities (hands-on practical skill demonstration).

 

What is involved in achieving this qualification?

To achieve this qualification, students would need to be found competent in 21 Units of Competency.

16 core units and 5 elective units.

If you have undertaken and successfully completed HLT42015 - Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice you will have already completed 13 Units of Competency.  We advise all our students to initially enrol in the Certificate IV Course so as to obtain a qualification that is recognised towards their gaining of their Diploma.

RPL / RCC (Recognition or Prior Learning / Recognition of Current Competency)

In most circumstances NHAA recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs under the AQF, and has RPL and RCC programs available with appropriate evidence and meeting NHAA standards.

A pre-enrolment interview is required and are held on Wednesdays and Fridays – please contact NHAA to make an appointment.

There are no pre-requisites for this qualification, however you are required to have sufficient literacy, numeracy and computer skills (year 10), and you will also need to be aware that this course is highly practically based and very hands on.

We strongly urge all of our students to initially enrol and complete HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy and Practice where the Units of Competency are the same as required for the Diploma.
