First Massage Therapy Certificate Awarded

First Massage Therapy Certificate Awarded

Congratulations to our first Student to complete the New Cert IV in Massage Therapy HLT 42015

Lom Janthet.

Lom has worked hard and diligently to achieve this nationally recognised qualification and continues on the road to achieving her Diploma of Remedial Massage HLT2015 which she hopes to have before the end of the year allowing her to be a higher qualified professional and gain recognition from Health Care providers through gaining a provider number.

Given that English is a second language to Lom and that she only learnt English more recently the achievement is even more praiseworthy and NHAA also thank the trainers and staff of the Academy for supporting and assisting Lom and others with language and other difficulties in overcoming these and progressing to achieve their training goals. Thank you team.

Lom has always had a strong interest in massage even in her native Thailand coming from a family that has professionally qualified Thai Massage therapists and teachers but despite having some Thai qualifications and training Lom wanted to learn Massage Therapies that are recognised in Australia and complemented her previous training.

Lom said “I have learnt many things in the course and it is very different to Thai massage. It has been hard but everyone has helped me and now many Thai people ask me how to do things in massage.”

Lom also said “Many Thai people do massage and think they know what they are doing but very few have any qualifications or training either Thai or Australian, training is very important and you can see a big difference to Clients as well as reducing the risk of causing Clients harm as some things they do are just not right.”

We wish Lom great success and hopefully very soon will see her completing her Diploma in Remedial Massage.

NHAA have many other Students who are very close to gaining the new Qualifications and their hard work and commitment is also recognised and commended by NHAA, Lom is the first to achieve the new qualification and the Academy see this as not only a milestone for Lom but also for NHAA.

Well done everyone.
